We are delighted to share that FSP has been named as one of the innovative UK AI SMEs joining the Aurora Engineering Partnership and the Aurora AI productivity team, led by QinetiQ. This marks an exciting milestone for FSP as we bring our expertise in AI to the Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) programme, providing mission critical engineering services to the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
Strengthening Defence through Innovation
The Aurora Engineering Partnership plays a central role in supporting the rapid deployment of military equipment to the frontline. With new investment in transformative AI technology, Aurora is taking significant steps to modernise defence capability, increase efficiency and accelerate delivery for MOD programmes.
For FSP, this collaboration represents an opportunity to apply our skills and experience in AI where it matters most:
- Reducing cost and time in critical projects
- Boosting productivity across the defence enterprise
- Accelerating adoption of advanced technology at scale
By combining AI with Aurora’s high value engineering skills, the partnership will help ensure that the UK Armed Forces are equipped with the tools they need, faster and more effectively.
The value of SMEs
SMEs now play a larger role in defence, with Aurora committing to deliver 25% of future work through SMEs. At the announcement, our Managing Partner, Tim Ebenezer, emphasised the importance of collaboration, innovation and the contribution of SMEs in delivering real impact.
Looking ahead
From supporting the deployment of the Carrier Strike Group to advancing Typhoon and Challenger 3 capabilities, the EDP is already driving progress. As part of this strengthened partnership, FSP is proud to help shape the future of defence innovation and support the mission to equip our Armed Forces with the very best capability.
